Went to Terra Mitica yesterday which is a fantastic theme park outside of Benidorm. Apart from the obvious influx of Chavs from the local hotels and beaches the place was virtually empty and as a result we managed to get on all the rides with no queues. More pics on Facebook over the next day or so.

Snapped from a taxi this morning in the City of London, this, FT reading, Big Issue salesman is clearly deciding which investment bank he may be able to buy with the proceeds of todays sales.

Went to a family gathering on the weekend and as a result we found ourselves in the lovely West Midlands…
Not people to waste an opportunity to do some touristy stuff we decided to spend Sunday at the West Midlands Safari Park, which I must admit was great.
Thanks to Dad for arriving in a hire car thus removing the need for me to drive round the animal enclosures in the Porsche, scaring the Lions and worrying if some cheeky animal might nick my wheels.
….and thanks to the Leopard for not eating Baldy.

Been a few weeks now since I started running again (after a break of about 18 years) but I think I am starting to enjoy it.
We bought a cross trainer a few weeks ago for the days its raining, I am of course still a fair weather runner at the moment, and thats going pretty well.
The latest addition to my new found fitness regime is a new road bike, I went out on the mountain bike last week and did about 25 road miles, quickly coming to the conclusion that I either needed road tyres or a new bike. Obvious where my thinking quickly went so I have done my research and amazingly ordered a bike from Halfords……. Yes, you did read it right Halfords.
They have a new range of Mountain, Cross and Race bikes designed by Chris Boardman and all the reviews are fantastic. Also for the spec and the money there is not a lot out there (bar a few very big sales) that can touch it.
Here is a pic, I am looking to get it when they are back in the head office about mid August. Until then I will stay away from the roads.

Well, thats the plan. I have comitted at least to myself that I am going to give it a go and try and run it with my mate Tim. Not totally sure of the charity we are running for yet, but will keep you posted as to any updates.
For now, I have just enrolled in a Cancer Research 10k run in October and am looking to raise as much money as possible for this very worthwhile charity. I know virtually everyone has, in some way, been affected by cancer and in my oppinion this is one of the most deserving charities there is.
Cheers
Chris

Problem is he did not do much fixing… Check the vid below.
No animals were harmed during the making of this movie (except perhaps a few snails)

Have not done this for a while so I thought an update was due.
Our shiny new hot tub arrived last week, but we had a slight problem….. The dimensions I was given (which meant it would fit through the garage to the back garden) were wrong and as a result a mission ensued…
Cue Brian the Crane, below are some pics of the crane and the practice lift over, yes over, the house. Could not get any pics of the actual lift as I was manning a radio and a guy rope to stop the tub crashing into our TV aerial or chimney…

Good news is that it was all in and full in time for a great weekend of sunshine, beer and hot tubbiness…

Ooh, and its just as nice this weekend.
